Superformance 427 Cobra Mk-III S/C (used) #2144
Superformance MK III #SP02144 left the factory in 2005 and sold to its first owner in 2007. I acquired the car from the original owner in 2018. Current corrected mileage (car was run 12 years with an incorrect driven speedometer gear in the transmission and the odometer logged an additional 1279 miles it shouldn't have had prior to my acquisition) is currently 29,391. The car is Dark Gray with Silver Stripes and a Black leather interior. Front tires were replaced June 2019 and rears June 2023. During my ownership I have replaced Clutch, Pressure Plate & Release Bearing; resurfaced flywheel; drained flushed & refilled clutch fluid and replaced clutch slave cylinder; replaced fuel filter; replaced valve cover gaskets, 4-wheel alignment, replaced spark plugs, ignition wires, MSD distributor cap & rotor; rebuilt carburetor; replaced differential lubricant, replaced transmission lubricant with Tremec approved synthetic; replaced water pump, thermostat & refilled engine coolant; the braking system was drained, flushed and refilled. This car is well sorted, in excellent condition both cosmetically and mechanically, needs nothing, and is a pleasure to drive. The engine is a Roush 342R dyno'd at Roush prior to delivery at 452HP @6000. The engine was built on a Dart Iron Eagle Block with 4-bolt mains, Roush proprietary aluminum cylinder heads, Twisted Wedge cam, and an Edlebrock Performer intake manifold with a Holley 750 Avenger carburetor. Compression is 10:1. Transmission is Tremec TR3550 (TKO600) and the differential is a Dana BTR 3.46:1 LSD. The car is sold with Ceramic Coated Headers and Side Exhaust with Stainless Heat Shields; Jordan shifter; 5-point harnesses; battery disconnect; a Glove Box, Soft Top with Side Curtains and a Tonneau Cover. Extras included are: A Superformance branded car cover along with a second ā off-the-shelfā cover, and Superformance branded floor mats. Also included is a complete flat tire repair kit with 2 aerosol inflator cans, a spool of .041" wheel safety wire, a lead hammer, and a safety wire pliers (Milbar); Extra Hella relays for radiator fans and neutral safety switch; extra turn signal relays; an extra water pump/alternator drive belt; a full wiring diagram for this car; extra 4-wheel set of Wilwood Brake Pads; extra set of Superformance parking brake pads; a spare parking brake rotor and excellent match touchup paint for both colors including the pigment formulation of each should the colors need to be accurately reproduce in the future. This car had been senior adult driven throughout its entire life, never raced, never in an accident and never repainted. The original owner kept meticulous maintenance and repair service records during his 11 years of ownership and I followed suit and did the same during my 6 years of ownership. Consequently, this car comes with a complete, detailed, receipt documented service and repair history from birth to current date. Car is located in Northeast Illinois.
